Feminization of lower face
The deep plane facelift is one of the most innovative and effective techniques in modern plastic surgery. Unlike traditional facelifts, this method targets not only the skin but also the deeper muscular and connective tissue layers. As a result, facial sagging, volume loss and signs of aging can be corrected in a natural and long-lasting way. The procedure is ideal for patients from approximately 35 years of age, when skin elasticity naturally decreases and early signs of aging become visible.
Dr. Olivier Beckers is highly experienced in advanced deep plane facelift techniques and is known for achieving elegant, subtle and long-lasting results. Worldwide, the deep plane approach is regarded as the gold standard in facelift surgery.
Why Choose a Deep Plane Facelift?
The deep plane facelift stands apart from traditional techniques because it focuses on the deeper structural layers of the face. This results in:
Natural results without a pulled or over-tightened appearance
Long-lasting rejuvenation of both face and neck
Minimal tension on the skin, resulting in more refined scars
Harmonious, slim and youthful facial contours
Through a deep plane release, the underlying tissues are carefully mobilized and repositioned. Since less skin needs to be removed, the outcome remains subtle, balanced and powerful.
Different Types of Deep Plane Facelifts
Depending on your unique anatomy and treatment goals, several variations are possible:
1. Deep Plane Face & Neck Lift
The most extensive and comprehensive option. Both the face and neck are lifted for full facial rejuvenation and a sharper jawline.

2. Deep Plane Neck Lift
Targets the neck, chin and jawline specifically. Ideal for patients with skin laxity or visible neck bands.

3. Deep Plane Midface Lift
Focuses on the cheeks, under-eye region and the area around the nose. This is ideal for patients with midface volume loss, sagging or under-eye hollowing.

How the Procedure Works
Small incisions are made around the ears and, when necessary, under the chin. Through these access points, the deeper muscular and connective tissue layers are gently released, repositioned and tightened. Excess skin is removed only when necessary to complement the improved contour.
After the procedure, the incisions are meticulously closed and a light compression dressing is applied to minimize swelling. Most patients can return to normal daily activities within a few weeks. Final results become visible gradually as swelling subsides.
Benefits of the Deep Plane Technique
1. Deep, Natural Rejuvenation
Because the correction occurs in the deep layers of the face, facial expressions remain soft, dynamic and natural.
2. Restoring Facial Volume Without Fillers
Repositioning of descended tissues recreates youthful contours—without the need for additional fillers.
3. Effective Correction of Gravity and Skin Laxity
By supporting the deeper layers of the face, the jawline, neck and cheeks regain definition and lift.
4. Long-Lasting Results
The anatomical nature of the technique provides durable, age-defying effects that last for many years.
Which Signs of Aging Does It Address?
A deep plane facelift is particularly effective for:
sagging jawline
folds around the nose and mouth (nasolabial and marionette lines)
hollow or flattened cheeks due to volume loss
neck laxity
diminished facial definition
visible effects of gravity
This technique provides complete, natural facial rejuvenation while respecting the harmony and character of the face.
