Ear correction - Face2Face Clinic | Helping trans women transition successfully

Ear correction

If you find the earlobes too large, they can be reduced in size using a simple incision on the lower edge.

Procedure

An earlobe reduction can generally be done under local anesthesia, but usually takes place under general anesthesia during the rest of the surgery. A simple and small incision is made on the lower edge of the ear.

Recovery

After the procedure, you can go home immediately. To keep the wounds clean, the ears are taped with plasters. You can resume your daily activities immediately. You may experience slight pain after the anesthesia wears off. After a few days, the sensitivity, swelling and redness of the earlobe will decrease.

It takes about a year for the scar to heal, but the results are immediately visible.

It is also important to avoid doing any activities that may strain the ears, such as sports or heavy lifting, for several weeks after surgery.
