Facial Feminization Surgery
Midface enhancement
Middle face recontouring in FFS surgery represents changing the bone structure of the middle part of the face. This is often done to feminize the facial features and give a more feminine appearance to the patient.
Procedure
1. Zygoma PSI (Pre-Surgical Imaging)
One of the most commonly used techniques for midface recontouring in FFS surgery is zygoma PSI (Pre-Surgical Imaging). This technique often involves adjusting the cheekbone arch. This can be done by moving the arch outward to increase the width of the face, or by moving the arch inward to create a more contoured look. In some cases, the bone between the nose and cheekbone arch can also be adjusted to create a more curved look.
2. Lipofilling of the face
Lipofilling is a procedure to fill parts of the face with your own body fat, rather than using chemicals or an implant. The fat used for fat grafting can be used from any part of the body through liposuction. This cosmetic procedure can be used to rejuvenate the face, plump up the cheeks or lips, or correct problems such as overly hollow eye sockets or scars. About 60% of the fat is permanent.
Midface recontouring with FFS surgery can be done in conjunction with other surgical procedures. Thus, the goal of these procedures is to feminize the patient's face.

Dr. O. Beckers and Dr. M. Van Genechten performed my Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS), and I am very happy with the result. Besides the excellent workmanship, I also want to emphasize the accessibility of Dr. Beckers and his team.
